ACF Integration with CF7 Apps

CF7 Apps introduces a seamless integration with the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin, allowing you to use ACF fields directly inside your Contact Form 7 forms.With this integration, you can insert supported ACF field types through simple tag-based options making your forms more dynamic, structured, and flexible.

1. How It Works

1 . Enable the Integration

• Go to Contact Form 7 → Integration → Advanced Custom Fields and enable the toggle.

2. Enable the toggle.

3. You can also activate this app from the internal ACF Integration settings page inside CF7 Apps.

Note: The ACF plugin must be installed and activated. If ACF is missing, you will see a disclaimer inside the integration panel.

2. Insert ACF Fields into a Contact Form

1. Navigate to Contact Form 7 → Add New or edit an existing form.

2. In the tag generator panel, you will see the ACF Field tag added by CF7 Apps.

3. Click the tag to open the modal.

Inside the modal:

• Field Name — enter the name you want to use in your form (required).
• Custom Field — select the ACF field you created (required).
• Field Key — this will auto-populate after selecting your ACF field.

Only supported ACF field types (such as text, number, and other CF7 Apps supported types) will appear in the dropdown.

3. Make Sure You Have ACF Fields Created

If you haven’t created ACF fields yet:

Go to Advanced Custom Fields → Field Groups

• Create a new field group

• Add your CF7 Apps fields

• Once created, supported field types will automatically appear in the CF7 Apps tag generator.

3. Insert the Tag into Your Form

Once the tag configuration is complete:

• Click Insert Tag.
• The generated shortcode will be placed into your form.

• The ACF field is now connected and will appear in the form on the frontend.
